A variety of analog proofs to aid in the approval stage of films for commercial printing. For single-color film negatives, we provide inexpensive positive Dylux and Contact proofs which are more easily read than film negatives. Fujiproofs provide an industry standard method for determining how your process color separation film will look when printed.
Common Uses
To test the content, color, and overall integrity of imagesetting film output before it is used to make plates for offset priting.
We offer quick turnaround on all proofing options. Our water-based Fujiproof system is equal or superior to other conventional proofing methods, yet does not use any environmentally harmful dyes or chemicals.
Matchprint™ Proofs:
For all four-color process separation film work, we strongly recommend the industry standard Matchprint proofing service. Matchprints are created from the actual four-color separated films to be used in the final printing process. Proofing film negatives can be very difficult for even the most seasoned pre-press person. But with a Matchprint created from those negatives, color quality, traps, and content can be easily checked from a positive print. Each film negative representing the CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow and black) portions of your separation set is exposed, registered, and laminated together to create a positive color print or proof representing how your final piece should look when printed. Dylux and Contact Proofs: For single-color film negative work, we offer both conventional Contact and Dylux paper proofs.

Contact proofs
Contact proofs are made from single-color film by exposing the film negative to the paper under an intense halogen light and then processing the paper through a chemical processor. These are used in proofing type and halftone screens for accuracy.

Are paper prints made from a single-color film by exposing the film negative to the paper via an intense light. No chemical processing is required. Dylux proofs are not recommended for proofing pages with halftone screens or images.
